LU to offer 3 new degree programs  this 2022-2023 school year

Laguna University will offer three new degree programs  in the incoming school year; AB Psychology, BS Psychology, and BS Computer Engineering, President Laviña said Monday, February 14  during his state of the institution address.

In a Facebook post, President Charlemagne Laviña announced on February 21, the  Commission on Higher Education (CHED)’s approval of the Certificate of Compliance to operate the three new programs.

“Matapos ang isang taon nating pagsusumikap upang sundin ang mga requirements ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) upang madagdagan ang mga kurso sa ating Universidad, pinagtibay na po ng CHED ang tatlo nating programa.Sa Kabila ng PANDEMYA, meron pa tayong BAGONG programa.” President Lavina said in a post.

“Based on the Report on the Result of  Preliminary Assessment (RRPA) conducted by this Office, the above-mentioned institution has complied with the prescribed minimum requirements for the First Year Level of the program per CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 34, series of 2017.” the certificate wrote.

It also indicated that the institution has two years to secure the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for the said programs by full compliance with the CHED minimum requirements.

According to President Lavina’s state of the institution address, Prof. Joseph Noel A. De Leon will be the program chair for the incoming two psychology programs and Dr. Luisito L. Lacatan for BS Computer Engineering.

As of today, Laguna University is offering 13 degree programs from six colleges.
