Laguna University joins leadership training with UPLB

Despite the present pandemic condition, the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) Ugnayan ng Pahinungod successfully conducted a leadership training with Laguna University (LU) through Zoom on November 8. It was participated by the LU Central Student Council, LU student department presidents, and LU Entrepreneurship Department’s program chair.

The program seeks to strengthen the leadership abilities of officers from LU organizations both inside and outside of the academic setting, as well as to improve the officers’ leadership styles so that they can lead more efficiently and effectively.

Each participant had an entertaining self-introduction throughout the program’s introductory portion. The participants performed their assigned assignment and activity in one of three (3) breakout rooms within the specified time.

Ms. Megan Rayala, a resource speaker, led the leadership training with the support of volunteer facilitators. The participants were actively participated in the activity-filled training session.

Ms. Rayala encouraged the attendees to consider their aspirations as a leader both inside and outside of the university, and to do so with integrity. Participants were also reminded of the significance of communication, teamwork, and leadership styles.

As the session came to end, the respective members of the Ugnayan ng Pahinungod gave their concluding statements. After that, the participants were given an evaluation form to complete in order to receive e-certification.
